Description
I've been working on this for a long long time. It didnt turn out the way i i'd like it to be, but for now i'm too tired of it to continue.I've used PhotoshopCS and a Wacom for this.

Pros:I'm liking the colour pallette you have chosen here and the concept is nice and original. The sky is very well done and the colours well mixed in.
Cons:The lighting is the biggest one. Even though the light source (the moon) is behind him, there appears to be light coming from the front too, his arm is casting no shadow on his body. I think it would have been both more effective and dramatic to have the giant mostly darker with some highlights and subtle lighting from the moon.
Also the giants anatomy is slightly off, there appears to be no real weight to him and his right hand looks like melted rubber. Also the bone structure on his ankles appear to be mostly missing. Considering he's a giant, theose are some pretty big fire flys. Overall opinion/feedback:Overall pretty nice work, I can see you have put some real effort into this one and with a little bit of tweaking it could be great. +7

Lights are very well placed and colors in the hairs are awesome even if as my usual i miss a little more shadows.
Anyway the story is beautiful it gives a oniric mood and a little romantic too and this the very strong point of this painting. I really love it cause it's subtle... the giant looks blind and he loves fireflies that are just little flares of light almost if he's searching for something he can't never have. This is one of my favourites works from you (with the other 43.564).
Brava

You know what I think about this Sas, it's a good piece from you. However, I do know about a certain Eli who would have a few things to say about outlines...
Anyway, thanks for posting the WIP.

Juro, you mention a few things I never have thought of. Thank you, I'll keep this in mind next times.
Also, for the title - Yep I just realized it didnt fit. From the start I had decided the title would be: "The Giant Who Loved a Moonfairy", but lazyness took control and they became fireflies. I guess I'll change the title now. Any ideas anyone?

All good things about it was said I guess. Great work.
I think that maby it would be better to vary the colors more, but on the other hand I know it's night so range of possibilities isn't wide.
All in all it's +9/9 of course

I like the colors too, but not the red trousers, they should be purple/violet to fit in the blue environment.
Congratulations to you!+9
