Description

Made this drawing laaaaate at night, it kept me awake far beyond bedtime It started as a meaningless sketch, but we all know happens when you are having fun....

I love drawing cloth, I'm not very good at it, but I still love to do it. If you kind artists out there see some faults or things you think would improve my drawing; please! Don't hesitate! :) I love getting comments on how to improve. Thank you...

Tools I've used: Wacom tablet and Painter Classic.
Time: probably around 1.5 hours or more.

Looks great, especially the shading and highlights. Nice work!

Just noticed one thing, though, the hair on the right side of her head should be more loose, and it'll look more natural.

This is one of those sketches that inspires me to try the same. Guess what I'll do when I get home from school... :p
Not much to complain about here, only the face is a little weird (around the nose/mouth).
+8/10

I like it Sandra! Your composition is fine and the sepia approach looks great. And the shading works well. Maybe her shoulders are a little dropped, or perhaps her neck too long, (one or the other) :). I love drawing cloth too, but cloth behaves according to the form underneath. I know she's kneeling, but it doesn't look as though the cloth folds around legs; so perhaps introduce some creases to suggest this, but get the legs underneath right first. And I also agree with the previous post, the hair behind her could perhaps hang straighter to suggest more weight, rather than follow the line of the shoulder which is toward us in the perspective. But this is a cool pic anyway, and I hope these observations are helpful.

I'm afraid of drawing cloth, it intimidates me... do you think you have any advice for me on how to draw it? Your picture is beautiful and inspires me.. you have a lovely style and I like the fact that the background isnt white.. thanks :) +6

I really like the effect you created with the fabric, well done! I think you should work on the face again, because it doesn't seem right around the chin and lips area. Keep up the good work though!!

I always had a hard time sketching and doing something pretty directly into the computer. I always need a pencil sketch first...and then there is the problem with digital inking *ahem*. This is very beautiful, i love the tone of colors, it almost reminds me of a sculpture. The material looks so soft and the fabric creases seem to be really well done! Great work on the crosshatching. 5/5^^
-by the way, nice meeting you for a brief moment in the chat. Take care!
